Kemper System Corporate Milestones:

1957 – "Kemper Kunststoff & Lackfabrik" was founded by Dr. Kemper in Vellmar, Germany

1969 – A patent for the waterproofing / sealing classic KEMPEROL V 210 is filed

1986 – Sale of the family-run company to IBG "Industrie-Beteiligungs-Gesellschaft" in Cologne, Germany

1990 – "Kemper Kunststoff & Lackfabrik" is renamed Kemper System GmbH Co. KG

1990 – Establishment of the first international subsidiary in the USA - Kemper System, Inc.

1997 – Establishment of a subsidiary in UK – Kemper System Ltd.

1998 – Establishment of a subsidiary in India – Kemper System India PVT Ltd.

2000 – Establishment of a subsidiary in Italy – Kemper System Italy s.r.l.

2000 – Establishment of a subsidiary in France – Kemper System France SAS

2000 – Establishment of a subsidiary in China – Kemper System Liquid Coating Sealing Co. Ltd.

2009 – Kemper System and Coelan Flüssignkunststoffe GmbH are merged into one company; Kemper System GmbH & Co. KG

2010 – Kemper System America, Inc. starts production in West Seneca, NY

2010 – Establishment of a subsidiary in Canada – Kemper System Canada, Inc.

2012 – Launch of quality management system and certification in line with ISO 9001

2013 – Establishment of a sales service in Mexico City, Mexico

2013 – Launch of environmental management system and certification in line with ISO 14001

2017 – Kemper System celebrates 60 years of industry leadership and innovation

2017 – Kemper System America, Inc. expands through the acquisition of STS Coatings, Inc. with the addition of more building envelope technologies

2018 – Inauguration of production facilities in India

2021 – Kemper System America, Inc. announces the promotion of Mr. Christian Schaefer as Managing Director and Brian McGuire as VP of Sales & Marketing

KEMPER SYSTEM'S BUFFALO STORY: In 2009, the IBG industrial holding from Cologne, Germany announced a plan to establish a North American manufacturing presence. This newly-established production facility would allow the company to expand its sales into Canada and South America from its US headquarters.

In June 2009, Kemper System acquired a 45,000 square foot facility at 1200 North America Drive located in West Seneca, a town directly outside of Buffalo.

Since its establishment, KSA continues to realize its growth and expansion goals.  Both iconic American buildings and state of the art buildings boast the protective waterproofing, roofing and surfacing application that is Kemper System.
