Challenge
Prevent water leakage from floor area of mechanical room located on upper level of library above valuable national archive below.
Solution
Installed odorless Kemperol 2K-PUR membrane to 17,000 square feet of the mechanical room’s floor and provided a 20-year warranty. Project was completed without disruption of library operations.
Challenge
Waterproof the largest bathhouse and spa in the United States, addressing exterior, interior, and below-grade waterproofing challenges. Consisting of four levels, the project has a wide range of different spas, pools, baths, and fountains, with thousands of penetrations, some of which were buried or fully submersed.
Solution
Each floor and the roof deck of the building was encapsulated with Kemperol waterproofing membrane, which was extended through the spas, pools, baths and fountains. Various finish materials, primarily tile and stone, were applied over the waterproofing membrane.
Challenge
Interior electrical substation required critical waterproofing system be applied to their mechanical room to protect highly sensitive electrical equipment from hazardous water damage below.
Solution
The interior location necessitated the installation of the odorless Kemperol 2K-PUR membrane for total encapsulation, which avoided costly repairs to the substation’s complex electrical system.
Challenge
Waterproof entire interior parking garage to prevent water infiltration into habitable space located below the garage.
Solution
Install odor-free and solvent-free Kemperol membrane, followed by a Kemperdur high-build aggregate surfaced traffic coating system. The odor-free characteristics of the materials avoided the possible problem of odors entering into the building and interfering with medical activities during material application.
