Challenge
Reduce total annual storm water runoff volume by 70 percent and provide an aesthetically pleasing meadow area outside of the central library second floor level.
Solution
An Eco-Roof tray system was installed to provide necessary storm water retention. Low-maintenance sedum plantings provide a colorful meadow that is in bloom nearly year-around. The central library enjoys the recognition of being the first public library in Oregon to feature an Eco roof.
